The native range of this species is S. Indo-China to W. Malesia. It is a liana and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Uses: 

Treats breast swelling, ear and nose congestion (Sprinkle powdered seeds). Seed oil has laxative effects, treats dysentery, and nasal ulcers. Decoction of stems and leaves has antibiotic properties.

Distribution: 

Son La, Lao Cai (Nghia Lo), Cao Bang, Lang Son, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An. The plant grows naturally in bright places along the forest edge, and is also cultivated.
