The native range of this species is Tropical & Subtropical Asia to N. Australia. It is an annual and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.

Uses:
Supplement for women after giving birth (whole plant crushed to get juice to drink). Snake bites, injuries from falls, postpartum blood stasis, abdominal pain (whole plant).
Distribution:
The plant grows in bright and humid places, wastelands, fallow fields, roadsides, gardens, quite common in Vietnam.
