The native range of this species is Tropical & Subtropical Asia to N. Australia. It is an annual or shrub and grows primarily in the subtropical biome.

Uses: 

Hepatitis (Roots). Acute dysentery, enteritis, colds, cough, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis, hemoptysis (whole plant).

Distribution: 

Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue. Grows scattered along secondary forests, grassy hills, fallow fields, and swamps.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

March-August
