Uses: Rhizomes are used to treat blood stasis, abdominal pain, swollen liver, indigestion, menopause. In Malaysia, tubers are used to treat coughs, asthma and dandruff, jaundice. In Indonesia, sharp rhizomes are used by newly born women.
