"Dracula marsupialis Luer & Hirtz is a species of epiphytic orchid of cespitoso growth whose genus is closely related to Masdevallia, part of the subtribe Pleurothallidinae. This species is originally from northwestern Ecuador, where it inhabits humid and foggy mountain forests"

Description: 

Epiphytes, with stubby, erect antennae covered with 2 to 3 detachable cotyledons, tubular and bearing a single leaf, apical, erect, thin conical, carinate, sub, elliptic, acute to subacute, gradually narrows below to a small, cylindrical base leaf. The flowers bloom thinly, horizontally to descend with flowers facing downwards, and flowers 30 to 42 cm long.

In wet cloud forests at elevations of 2100 to 2300 m.
