its native range is Tropical & S. Africa, Madagascar, Arabian Peninsula, Indian Subcontinent to Myanmar.

Vietnamese name:

Nho tía, Hồng đắng, Xi phóng thăng, Rau tai châu, Dây lá chua, Nho lông, Hồ đằng bốn cạnh.

Uses: 

To replenish blood for women after giving birth (a decoction of the whole plant's juice). The extract of the stem is used to treat menstrual disorders. The whole plant cures broken bones.

Ho Chi Minh City.
