its native range is SE. China to Indo-China, Nansei-shoto.

Vietnamese name:

Cà gai leo, Chẽ nam (Tày), Cà gai dây, Cà quýnh, Cà quạnh, Brong goon (Bana), Gai cườm.

Uses: 

Treatment of rheumatism, joint pain, edema, whooping cough, snakebite, hepatitis, boils, itchy sores (Drink root).

Distribution: 

In Vietnam, The tree grows naturally along roadsides, wastelands, and bushes in the plains and midland and coastal provinces.
