its native range is Peru to Brazil and N. Argentina. It is used as animal food, a poison and a medicine, has social uses and for food.

Vòi voi, Dũn voi, Thiên giới thái, Đại vĩ đao Scientific name: Heliotropium indicum L.

Family: 

Boraginaceae

Uses: 

Toxins, boils, meridians, rheumatism, pneumonia, tonsillitis, orchitis, diarrhea, dysentery (the whole plant is excellent for drinking).

Distribution: 

In  Vietnamm: The tree grows naturally, common in the midlands and plains.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

May-July
