The native range of this species is S. Somalia to N. Mozambique, W. Indian Ocean to Pacific. It is a shrub or tree and grows primarly in the seasonally dry tropical biome(s).

Distribution:

Species of Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.

In Vietnam, this species is distributed throughout the central provinces from Phu Yen to Ba Ria, Vung Tau.

Uses:

The fruit contains a very sticky mucus, which can be used as glue. Can be used as a sedative and expectorant. The tree has a very beautiful flower shape that can be migrated or planted to look in coastal forest areas, streets and resorts to create landscape and shade.
