The native range of this species is India to S. China and W. Jawa. It is a shrub or tree and grows primarly in the wet tropical biome(s).

Uses: 

Cure tooth decay, stomach ulcers, duodenitis (fruit).

Distribution: 

From Son La, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh to the Central Highlands. The tree grows naturally in evergreen forest or scrub, at an altitude of 100-1100 m.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

April-June
