The native range of this species is S. China to Indo-China. It is a scrambling shrub and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Uses: 

Cough, boils, rheumatism, pain (root). Leaves cure edema when postpartum. Colorful flowers help to brighten the eyes.

Distribution: 

Bac Can, Thai Nguyen, Ha Tay, Hoa Binh. The tree grows naturally in sparse forests, shrub hills, at an altitude of 300-1600 m.

March-September
