The native range of this species is S. India, S. China and Taiwan and Indo-China. It is a shrub or tree and grows primarily in the subtropical biome.

Uses: 

Liver and kidney tonic, sedative. Cure pain and injury (Shell).

Distribution: 

Nghe An, Quang Tri, Dak Lak. The tree grows naturally scattered in the forest, at an altitude of 700-1000 m.
