The native range of this species is NE. India to China (Yunnan, Guangxi) and Malesia. It is a climbing subshrub or shrub and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Family: 

Cardiopteridaceae

Uses: 

Tooth decay (Crushed vine used as a mouthwash).

Distribution: 

Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, Ha Giang. Grows naturally at the edge of forests.
