Description

Epiphyte, straight bush, 50 - 70cm tall, cylindrical body with bamboo burning. The oblong leaves are 10 - 13cm long, 1 - 1.3cm wide, the base has a sheath hugging the trunk, the top is divided into 2 irregular lobes. Inflorescence in leaf axils, with 2-3 bright yellow flowers. The lips are oval, pointed, raw and red.

Distribution

Found in Hainan, SE Xizang (Mêdog), S Yunnan (Mengla) [Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam]. In Viet Nam: Lâm Đồng, Đồng Nai, Nghệ An, Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình.

Ecological

Epiphytic on tree trunks in forests, lithophytic on rocks in open forests; 600-1000 m.
