Description: 

Growing terrestrial or lithophyte with ovoid, comressed, clustered pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, broadly ovate, cordate, distinctly veined, acuminate leaf and blooms in the summer and fall on a subdensely 6 to 20 flowered, 6" [15 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with triangular, acute floral bracts.   

Distribution:

Assam, China South-Central, China Southeast, East Himalaya, Nepal, Taiwan, Tibet, Vietnam (Lai Châu, Hà Sơn Bình, Lào Cai, Tam Đảo, Hà Nam Ninh), West Himalaya.

Ecological:

Humus-rich soil in forests, soil-covered crevices or forks of trees; 1000-2000 m.

Blooms in the summer.
