The native range of this species is S. China to Vietnam. It is a tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome.

Uses: 

Cure fever, abdominal pain (shell, seeds decoction).

Distribution: 

Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hanoi (Ba Vi), Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh. The tree grows naturally in the evergreen jungle.

Flowering and fruiting season: 

April-May; July-October
