The native range of this species is S. China to Vietnam. It is a rhizomatous geophyte and grows primarily in the subtropical biome.

Chemical composition:

Essential oil (0.7%), saponin (1.7%).

Uses:

Treats diarrhea, vomiting, flatulence, nocturia, cloudy urine, and spermatorrhea in the elderly.

How to use:

Take 6-12g a day, in decoction form, often used in combination with other medicines.
