The native range of this species is Nepal to S. China and W. Malesia, S. Taiwan. It is a shrub or tree and grows primarily in the subtropical biome.

Lương xương, Chè béo

Family: 

Pentaphylacaceae

Uses: 

Treats dysentery, expels worms, and hepatitis (bark). Treats fever (leaves). Roots are used to improve blood circulation, treat bone fractures, scabies, burns, and acute enteritis.

Distribution: 

Lao Cai, Son La, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong. The plant grows naturally in evergreen forests.
